The release of looters’ lists-Online Comments

The federal government recently released two tranches of lists containing the names of alleged looters of the nation’s coffer.
The first list contained ten names while the second one had 23, mostly members of the former ruling party, PDP.
The lists have been greeted with mixed reactions by Nigerians on social media.
Here are some of their comments:
Ayo Ojeniyi The truth series. .
1. The truthis that APC/Lai had no business in releasing any looters list.
If they will release any list at all, they should have obtained the list from the EFCC and then publish it unedited.
EFCC’S list could have included all the alleged looters across the board especially those already taken to courts.
Note that allegations are not convictions.
See those judges taken to courts, they are walking away freely because EFCC cannot prove the allegations.
So both APC and PDP were not serious with their lists.
Nigerians are very intelligent.
Hefty lootings took place during PDP 16 year rule, but Nigerians are interested in recoveries and convictions.
By the way, we are waiting for the Secondus threatened court case against Lai.
2. BH was defeated up to this level now because the military attacked them in great numbers especially the Sambisa Forest.
To defeat the current herds men especially the rustlers in Zamfara, large numbers of military men will be needed to defeat them.
3. Today in Alimosho, we saw practical dividends of democracy.
19 inner roads and 2 bridges were commissioned by Ambode.
One of the bridges leads to Obasanjo Farms at Odo Obasanjo few meters away from Ikola.
One of the roads leads to AIT. You may wish to interpret the two names: Obasanjo and AIT.
IREE OOOO KABITI Zele Afe It is the Judiciary that convicts not the FG.
And before our very eyes,we see clearly their complicity.
Ibori was freed of 72 count charges by a Nigerian court, however a British court convicted him on the same count.
A Nigerian co-looted more than #30,000,000,000 and a court fi ne him #750,000,000, The court of Appeal upturned the conviction and slapped him 6 years and asked him to pay more than #30,000,000,000.
The Punch Editorial stated clearly the complicity of the Judiciary.
The EFCC no matter how it proves wont get swift judgement or corresponding convictions because the Judiciary is rotten.
Frederick Olatundw Awote None of the two parties have right to publish looters list.
Both of them have considerable number of looters among their party leaders.
To me the Ahmed Ojeniyi Afe Awote Ochonu Nwogu Compiled by Awaal Gata only difference is Buhari.
I just pray his name will not be tarnished by the herdsmen.
He should also wake up politically and hold tight to those who are masters in politics.
It is good that he has retraced back to Tinubu now having snubbed him on bad advise for nearly three years.
On your Ambode, Elections are not won on speculation or wishes.
One local government cannot return your Ambode.
Let him spread the developments and stop ‘killing’ people withescalated land use tax.
You may not like what I have said but the truthis bitter.
The land use tax will dominate the campaign in 2019 and it will be difficult to be wished away.
Moses Ochonu We finally have the PDP looters’ list, which the Buhari administration has been teasing for three years.
The list is underwhelming if you ask me.
No new revelations there as these cases are already in the public domain and have already been publicized to the benefit of the ruling party by the EFCC and by news reports on them.

Nonetheless, good start.
Now, we await two other lists: 1.
The list of PDP looters who are now in the APC and therefore enjoy unofficial immunity. 2. The list of looters in this administration who were reluctantly shown the door but not prosecuted, who were suspended for corruption and then curiously recalled, and who are yet to be held accountable.
We’re waiting.
Obioma Nwogu Any Treasury looters list in Nigeria that does not include Tinubu’s name is fake.
You can argue with APC the source of his stupendous wealth.
Ahmed Haruna Tswata From a neutral perspective.
There is no point taking the people who made the list of looters as released by Federal Government to court again , the FG said , it did a thorough job and affirmed that those on the list are really looters even without a competent law court convicting them , so ,no need of taking them to court to prove themselves, with Federal Government decision, they are already guilty.
I advise the deserved punishments to be melt out to them immediately by the federal government without delay .
And for PDP , don’t play to the gallery , no point of mentioning leaders names who deserted the party , all you need to do ,is to name alleged looters in this government, if there is any, with details of what they are suspected of stealing and pronounce them guilty too without any court saying so.
