NAQS redeploys 64 staff in mass posting

Controller General of the National Agriculture Quarantine Service (NAQS) Dr. Vincent Isegbe has approved the mass redeployment of 64 staff with instruction for immediate resumption warning of disciplinary action for any staff who refuses to resume in their new post.

The Service in the notification of redeployment stated that those redeployed should report and submit resumption duty certificate to their zonal commander on or before the 24th of May, 2024.

The memo was signed by the Assistant Comptroller General of Quarantine Head of Department, Human Resources Management, Issaka Ahmed said failure to do so will result in disciplinary action pursuant to the Public Service Rules.

The 64 staff include eight Controllers, eight Deputy Controllers and seven Assistance Controllers.

Ahmed, according to the memo said: “The Comptroller General has approved the redeployment of the following officers with immediate effect.

“All officers affected by this posting are to report and submit a resumption duty certificate to their zonal commanders on or before the 24th of May, 2024.”

Efforts by the reporter to get reactions on the courses of the mass redeployment proved abortive.
