‘Dadin Kowa hydro power to be commissioned October 2018’

Nigeria Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) has said the 39 megawatt Dadi kowa hydro power concession project will be commissioned in October 2018.
Director General of the Commission, Engr. Chidi Izuwah, disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Gombe shortly after inspection of the project site in Dadi-kowa dam.
“This planned commissioning by October would improve power supply in the Northeast zone and we are here today to demonstrate that we will go above and beyond the call of duty to actualise power generation,” he said.
He further said that the power generation from DadiKowa power project will make the sustainability of power supply at Kiri Dam in Adamawa state possible.
Engr. Izuwah said that the Dadi-kowa Dam project is both a pathfinder and double barreled benefit to the Northeast zone for enhanced electricity supply and will in no little measure serve as a catalyst for promoting micro, small and medium enterprises in the region.
