Rashford beats Mane, Trent-Alexander to PFA Award

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has been voted the PFA Fans’ Premier League Player of the Month for December.
The award voted by fans saw Rashford beat off competition from Liverpool duo of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sadio Mane, who came second and third respectively.
Rashford bagged five goals in seven league games in the month to claim 37 per cent of the total votes cast.

The accolade comes on a back of England forward winning United’s Player of the Month award for December, after racking up 40 per cent of the votes.
Rashford’s started the month with a brace against Tottenham followed up by a proper performance at the Etihad, where he won and scored the penalty that saw them beat neighbours City 2-1 in the Manchester derby.

He was to fluff against Everton and Watford but found the back of the net in United’s Boxing Day clash against Newcastle. He was to strike two days later in their win against Burnley.
