The former governor of Zamfara state and a Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, has pleaded with the people of Zamfara state to use the Ramadan period to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to stabilise the nation’s economy and national security.
Hon. Ibrahim Muhammad, chairman, Publicity Committee said in a statement Sunday that Sen. Yari made the plea while playing host to over 2,500 members of All Progressives Congress (APC) drawn from 147 political wards of the 14 local government areas of Zamfara state to a Ramadan breakfast spanning 5 days in his Talata Mafara Residence between 1st and 5th Ramadan 1445AH /2024 AD.
Senator Yari opined that it is instructive in Islam that followers shall always pray for the success of their leaders because they steer the wheel of their lives and such prayers will see them through.
The nation and its leaders, he said, need prayers from all and sundry at this point in time, taking into cognizance the security challenges and economic downturn that inflict untold hardship on citizens.
