Pyramid City Babes mourn Salisu Yaro

The management of Pyramid City Babes football club has extended deep condolences with family, Kano state and Nigeria football family over the demise of an esteemed football personality, late Alhaji Salisu Yaro popularly called Maigida, whose death occurred on Monday January 1, 2024.

The condolence was conveyed in a statement released by the Chief Operating Officer of the club, Abdulgafar Oladimeji, on Monday.

According to the statement, “Salisu Yaro has left his name on the sand of the Times of Kano football.

“In the past 40 years any football household name and any other person that had an encounter with football had encountered Salisu Yaro. In any way, the deceased was football.

“He was a football developer, motivator and philanthropist, Maigida lived and died in football.

“We commiserate with members of his immediate family, Kano Pillars FC, Kano FA, Nigeria Football Federation , NFF and the entire people of Kano, over this great loss.”

The club prayed for the repose of the soul of the dearly departed and comfort for all those who mourn.
