Police rescue kidnapped bizwoman, daughter in Oyo

An Ibadan-based business woman, Mrs Opeyemi Adeniran, who was kidnapped with her daughter Oyinkansola  last Friday at her Academy, Odo-ona Elewe, residence in Ibadan, was yesterday rescued by the police anti-kidnapping squad.
Blueprint gathered that the kidnapped mother and her daughter were released by the kidnappers unhurt early yesterday.
Sources close to the woman’s family said the mother and her daughter were immediately taken into the family custody.
The woman was quoted to have appreciated all those that showed concern during her travail, saying that “we are using this medium to thank everyone who supported us during this trying period. Mother and daughter were released early today. God bless you all.”
When contacted, the Oyo state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, confirmed the release of the kidnapped business woman and her daughter.
He said: “She and her daughter have been rescued by the anti kidnapping squad of the command. The victims are presently undergoing post trauma medical treatment and counselling at the post trauma counselling unit of our hospital, Eleyele, before being reunited with their family.”
