Police parade 13 suspected criminals in Ekiti 

No fewer than thirteen suspected criminals have been paraded by the Ekiti State Police Command for various offences ranging from drug trafficking, armed robbery, rape and conspiracy.

The suspects were paraded with various items recovered from them which include, household materials, power generating set and forty bags of cannabis sativa.

Addressing journalists at the command’s headquarters in Ado- Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital, Thursday, the spokesman for the command, DSP Sunday Abutu, declared that the suspects were arrested at different locations based on tip-off and intelligence gathering.

Notable of the cases according to the police command spokesman were that of a couple, Olomolaye Sesan and Olomolaye Kehinde that were arrested over the rape of a teenager who is the sister to his wife employed to hawk for them as well as an Islamic cleric, Saliu Rasaq, who allegedly raped two teenagers that came to him for spiritual assistance.

According to Abutu, Olomolaye Sesan raped the teenager several times while the wife was said to have used hot iron on the girl for spending N100 out of the money made for the goods hawked.
