Delta State Police command on Thursday arrested a 26-year-old man, Mr. Ogaga Kome, for the murder of 11-year-old, Hosanna Merit, in Ozoro community, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was gathered that the suspect allegedly shot the victim accidentally on August 22, 2022 while testing a locally made gun in his house acquired from an illegal arms dealer
Blueprint gathered that the suspect was reported to the Ozoro Police Station after which he fled the community.
The state Police Public Relation Officer ( PPRO) DSP Bright Edafe said members of the public alerted the Command on the incident while soliciting the arrest of the suspect.
PPRO said on “30/8/2022 at about 1305hrs, a relative of the suspect (name withheld) handed him over to the Police.
