Plateau relaxes curfew in 3 LGAs

Plateau state government yesterday relaxed the dusk-to-dawn curfew imposed on three local government areas of Jos South, Barkin Ladi and Riyom from 6pm – 6am to 10:00pm – 6am.
The government, in a press statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Rufus Bature, said Governor Simon Lalong approved the relaxation of the curfew effective from yesterday.
“In view of the relative peace and calm that is gradually returning to Jos South, Barkin Ladi and Riyom local government areas, the executive Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, has directed for the relaxation of the earlier imposed dusk-to-dawn curfew in the areas, from 10:00pm to 6:00am, with effect from today, Monday 2nd July, 2018,” it said.
According to the statement, citizens are advised to exercise restraint as they go about their legitimate activities without fear of any form molistation, and to remain calm and report any suspicious movement to the law enforcement agents
