Plateau: NDE trains, empowers 70 women in confectionaries, souvenir, tie & dye  

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE), has commenced a five-day training and empowerment of 70 women into confectionery, tie&dye, as well as souvenir.

 Commencing the training, under the department of Small Scale Entreprise, the state NDE coordinator, Mr. Emmanuel Dimka, on behalf of his director-general, Malam Nuhu Fikpo, said the directorate is attaching high premium to the project due to its positive multiplier effects in job creation amongst the women.

“You should justify the efforts of NDE, by utilising the training and the facility you will receive to succeed in life as beneficiaries,” he said.

Mr. Dimka, appreciated Malam Nuhu Fikpo, for the Women Empowerment Brach under the SSE programme. 

Thirty of the women will be trained on  Tie&dye, twenty 20 in confectionery, while twenty , women are for souvenir.

The state head of department, Small Scale Enterprises, Mr. Victor Audu Otukpa, assured the beneficiaries of quality training that will make self employed.
