A Sports Philanthropist, Mr. Richard Agbonifo, through his Hand2Hand Sports Foundation, has donated handball kits to teams in all six Area Councils of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Kuje U-12 Boys and U-18 Girls Handball Teams, Abaji U-12 Boys, Kwali U-12 Boys and U-12 Girls, Bwari U-12 Girls, and AMAC U-12 Boys and U-12 Girls Handball Teams, were all beneficiaries of this rare gesture, by the Germany based Agbonifo.
Presenting the kits inside Old Parade Ground, Area 10, Garki Abuja on Monday in a brief ceremony, Coordinator of the programme, Mr. Agbonifo said the essence was to help the kids achieve their dreams in the game of handball.
Agbonifo who played youth handball and represented the FCT, before having a stint with the senior national team, also called on well-meaning Nigerians and the government to provide good facilities where the kids can showcase their talents.
While highlighting the importance of his gesture to the development of handball in the FCT, Coach of AMAC Handball Team Peter Samson commended the organiser for putting smile on the faces of his players through the donations.
The kits were also donated to officials of the teams.
