The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has expressed support for the embattled national chairman, Julius Abure, despite the ongoing crisis rocking the party.
He expressed his support at the party’s National Executive Council (NEC), meeting in Asaba, Delta State, on Tuesday.
The Nigeria Police Force had sealed the party’s secretariat over the lingering leadership crisis after a Federal High Court, in Abuja, had ordered Abure to stay away from parading himself as the national chairman of the party.
Obi while reacting to the leadership crisis, said, “The case is in court. I have respect for that, but he remains my own man.”
