Osinbajo raises alarm over lingering ASUU strike, dwindling Nigerian economy [Pictures ]

Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, on Tuesday, told the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors to act swiftly and proffer solutions to the current economic situation of the country and the ongoing indefinite strike embarked on by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

In a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the president on media and publicity, Laolu Akande, after a delegation of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) came on a courtesy visit to the Vice President’s office upon his recovery from the surgery recently.

Osinbajo said, “We all need to work together on these critical issues. We need to think through things, and we need to do it fast.”

The Vice President and the governors agreed to engage these issues with a view to bringing urgent resolution for the benefit of the Nigerian people.
