Online publishers hail suspension of 3 erring Bauchi LG chairmen

The Arewa Online Publishers Association (AOPA) has commended Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed for suspending three local government chairmen who were found wanting in discharging their responsibilities.

The association in a letter to the governor signed by its Bauchi state chairman, Malam Mohammed Haruna and made available to newsmen through the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Media Muktari Gidado, commended the governor for suspending the caretaker chairmen of Ningi, Darazo and Kirfi local government areas for absconding from duties.

Haruna said the governor has demonstrated doggedness by ceding with the masses in taking proactive measures against the LG chairmen.

“It means you are not a passive leader who tolerates indolence and mediocrity. “If it were someone, he would have shielded all his appointees at the detriment of the masses, but you resisted the urge to protect docile and unaccountable representatives and decided to cede with the masses who elected you and for whom you occupy the oval office.

“By this singular act, you have proven that you are indeed leading a responsive government that listens to the voices and complaints of the entire people of Bauchi State regardless of party affiliation.

“The action has indicated that you are ready and well prepared to abide by the dictates of the masses that rejected, downsised and sent packing, the previous administration which almost derailed the state into a point of no return.”
