On palliative distribution in Borno

I extend my commendation to Governor Babagana Umar Zulum of Borno state for his dedication and determination towards ensuring the welfare of his citizens during this time of food insecurity and hardship in the state and country at large.

I wish to express my gratitude, especially, for the distribution of palliatives across all the local government areas in the state which the government has been engaged in throughout the month.

The recent palliative distribution in Baga, Kukawa local government area was heartwarming because Baga is one of the communities that received blows during the Boko Haram insurgency which led to the displacement of its residents.

Overall, the palliative distribution in Borno state is considered a call to duty by the governor after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu declared an emergency on food security in line with the renewed hope agenda of his government.

Furthermore, the distribution in Kukawa local government area recorded that over 20,000 men and women were provided food and non-food items to help mitigate the general as a result of fuel subsidy removal.

However, I implore Professor Zulum to ensure fairness and impartiality in the distribution of such benefits, avoiding bias and promoting unity in the state.

In conclusion, I wish to encourage the governor to continue the excellent work he is doing in Borno state and beyond.
