Okocha bags traditional title

Prominent author, journalist and human rights activist, Chief Emmanuel Okocha, has been conferred with the title of Onyeamuma Igbo (Prophet) in recognition of his immense contributions to the development of the industrious Igbo people.

The title was conferred on Okocha and other distinguished sons and daughters of the Igbo nation by the custodian of the Igbo History and Civilisation, His Royal Majesty, Eze-Nri Obidiegwu Onyesoh Enweleana, before a mammoth crowd during events marking the official Igu Aro festival, that usually ushers in the New Year and presenting to his people the New Year Igbo calendar at Nri, recently.

In his brief citation the Royal Majesty stressed that Emma Okocha’s title was well thought of, as all his predictions through his writings were divinely inspired, and they always come to pass adding that Okocha has always been there for the Igbo nation.

Onyeamuma, according to him, is the Biblical Prophet that has for long been unrecognized by his people. With this elevation ‘Onyeamuma Ndigbo’ will no longer shake hands with naked fingers, and his Staff of Office is not only sacrosanct, he is now a citizen of Nri and a member of my Royal Cabinet.

Emma Okocha, who our correspondent reported may be the first African author,  to launch over five books shortly after the ‘Blood On The Niger’ bombshell, is dedicating his title to his uncle, Chief Dennis Osadebay, the founder of the Ibo Union and the first and the last Premier of the Midwestern Region.

Bus builder, manufacturer of motorcycles, tri-cycles, spare parts and accessories, Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma bagged the tittle Okpuzu-Ndigbo. Before his emergence, Nigeria’s greatest stride in the motor industry stopped at just Car Assembly Lines.

However, by his recent major breakthrough, Nigeria has joined the league of Motor Car manufacturers in the world. Aka-Eze, spokesman of the Palace in recognition of this major feat stated that, ”we are now in the same league with Japan, the US, Korea, Germany and a couple of the European car building nations.
