Nweke Jr. says diverse nature of Nigeria makes consensus difficult

Former Minister of Information, Frank Nweke Jr., has said it was not easy to reach decisions at the ongoing national conference due to the diverse nature of the country saying that divergent ideas and expectations often rear their heads during discussion on major issues.
Nweke Jr. stated that the reason for the frequent adjournment on voting was to enable the conference to find some directions on Monday pointing out that the importance of the conference was the recognition to speak to one another.

The former minister, who stated that his concern at the conference as a nationalist,  was born in Kano, grew up in the South-west and later in Maiduguri. His focus was to have a country where justice, equity and peace would reign and where there would be opportunity for all and sundry.
Nweke Jr. expressed the hope that after the initial delay, the conference would reach some compromise.
