The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence (NSCDC) Sokoto state command
has deployed 800 personnel across the state for Eid-el-Kabir Sallah celebration, the Commandant, Alhaji Mohammed Dada has disclosed.
The commandant, who briefed newsmen on the Sallah celebrations said the personnel included officers, intelligence unit and ranks and file added that similar operations would take place in all the 23 local government areas.
He warned criminals of the consequences of their criminality, as the full weight of the law will be brought to bear on anybody arrested for any act of lawlessness.
Dada however advised Muslim faithful to enjoy the Sallah celebration and holidays without any fear of molestation because, according to him, his command is ever ready to stamp out criminals and protect lives and properties of the citizenry.
