NPSA to confer ‘Fellow of the Academy of Politics’ on Buhari’s CoS

The leadership of the Nigerian Political Science Association (NPSA), Tuesday, said it has resolved to confer Fellow of the Academy of Politics on the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Agboola Gambari, for his contributions to the field of study.

Gambari, a seasoned academic and diplomat, the association stated, was considered for the award in January, 2020 but will be conferred during its annual conference earlier scheduled for August.

NPSA in a statement issued by its president, Professor Aloysius-Michaels and secretary-general, Dr. Gerald Ekene Ezirim, congratulated Gambari on his appointment, and charged him to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of his duties.

 “The leadership and members of NPSA heartily congratulate our distinguished and resourceful professional colleague, Professor Ibrahim Agboola Gambari, CFR, on a well-deserved appointment as the Chief of Staff to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“Members of the NPSA are pleased with this critical appointment and hereby congratulate the federal government on this great initiative.
                                               
“We received the news of the appointment of our very senior colleague, a distinguished scholar/diplomat and eminent member of our highly revered association, with great joy and expectations. Professor Gambari, CFR, is an illustrious son of Africa and indeed, a global citizen as well as  an international person whose global services are remarkably indelible and well-appreciated by close associates and confidants.
