NDE trains Kano youth on sustainable agriculture

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has commenced the training of 100 youth, including men and women in Kano on sustainable agricultural scheme for them to become self-employed.

Speaking at the flag off of the training in Kano, Tuesday, the Director General of the NDE, Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, said the scheme was designed to create wealth and job opportunities for the youth to be self employed in an unprecedented manner. 

Fikpo, who was represented by the Coordinator of the Directorate office in Kano, Alhaji Yahaya Abdulkareem Sitika said the NDE had over the years, remained steadfast in wealth and job creation in all the nooks and crannies of the country as way of eradicating poverty among the teaming unemployed. 

He pointed out that the NDE had also received the support of the immediate past  administration of President Muhammad Buhari in addition to the one it was getting from the Tinubu administration, stressing the need for the beneficiaries to live up to expectations.

While expressing his appreciation over the gesture, one of the beneficiaries who spoke to Blueprint on condition of anonymity, took a swipe at the attitude  of those who used the soft loan given to them for primordial purposes.
