NBA wants IGP to probe lawyers’ murder

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has expressed shock over the killing of two of its members in Delta state.
In a statement issued by its President, Okey Wali, the association said: “We have received with shock, the sad news of the gruesome murder of our colleagues, Messrs Horace Eguono Dafiaghor and Samuel Ekwuaghanju on their way to court at Ozoro Delta state on March 27, 2014.

“The Warri branch of the NBA has promptly reported the matter to the police in Delta state. I have written a letter to the Inspector General of Police M.D. Abubakar, requesting for immediate and thorough investigation of the circumstances that led to the death of our colleagues.”

It added: “Our condolences to our murdered colleagues’ families, and may the souls of our murdered colleagues rest in peace, while their killers will never know peace and we will ensure that they are brought to justice.
This is our solemn promise to our murdered colleagues and to their murderers.”
