Speaker, Nasarawa state House of Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, Thursday said he is optimistic that the second tenure of President Buhari would be fruitful, hence the need for all citizens to support and pray for him.
He stated this while speaking with newsmen in Lafia Thursday.
Balarabe also said he was convinced that the new governor of Nasarawa state, Abdullahi Alhaji Sule, have the full capacity to take the state to the next level of development.
“I am very optimistic that President Buhari’s second tenure would address most of the challenges facing the nation at the moment. He has done his best during his first tenure.
“I am also convinced that A. A. Sule, considering his pedigree and track records while in the private sector would not fail the people of the state and the people will not regret his coming as their new governor,” Balarabe said.
He called on the people of the state to support and pray for the new governor to succeed for the betterment of all irrespective of their ethnic, religious and political affiliations.
The speaker assured the new governor of the readiness of the assembly to work with the executive in order to provide the much needed dividends of democracy to the people.
