Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has described the death of the Imam of the Abuja National Mosque, Ustaz Musa Muhammad, as tragic, shocking and a monumental loss to the Abuja Muslim community and the nation at large.
The minister, who has since visited the late Imam’s family to commiserate with them, was also at the National Mosque for his funeral prayer.
He expressed his condolences to the Muslim community as well as the immediate family of the deceased in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Muhammad Hazat Sule, yesterday.
The minister recalled the noble roles the late Imam Musa Muhammad used to play to douse tension when there are crisis situations in the Federal Capital Territory.
He added that the nation would miss the qualitative and selfless services of this patriot and a religious leader per excellence and prayed that his gentle soul rest in perfect peace as well as the immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
