A man, his wife and Son Saturday, morning escaped death as his Highlander jeep rammed into a 14 seater bus at Aguogboriga junction, Enugu/Abakaliki expressway.
The man whose name is yet to be ascertain as at the time of this report was said to be taking his son back to school from Ezzangbo when their journey was involved in the incident.
According to an eyewitness, “The bus with plate number AKL 437 YU was coming out from Aguogboriga layout but did not look to see if any vehicle was coming before entering the expressway. The highlander jeep with plate number HKW 94 AA was accelerating down from Presco flyover when the bus entered the road resulting in the crash.”
Though no death was recorded, the highland driver and the family members sustained some degree of injuries and were taken to hospital by the operatives of Federal Road Saftey Commission.
The driver of the 14 seater bus on seeing the impact of the accident took to his heels thinking that the family members in the Highlander jeep were dead.
The bus driver whose vehicle was fully loaded with goods was said to have arrived in Abakaliki late on Friday and past the night at Aguogboriga.
