Maiduguri attack: Our hearts with victims – Secondus

National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, has condoled with victims of Sunday night’s suicide bombing in Belle village, near Maiduguri, the state capital.
He said the “needless bombing” was “unfortunate and condemnable.
” The PDP boss in a statement through his Special Assistant on Media Ike Abonyi, noted that his “heart and those of other well-meaning Nigerians are with the families who lost their beloved ones as well as the injured.
” He charged security agencies operating in the area to review their strategies in order to proactively avert more blood-letting of innocent persons.
The statement in part read: “The need to adjust the military operations in the region became imperative given the disturbing record of the United Nations UN Coordination of Humanitarian Affair (OCHA) released in Abuja on Monday showing that 22 attacks were carried out against the people in the region in the most troubled states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa in the last three months.
“ P r e s i d e n t Muhammadu Buhari and his APC-controlled federal government must ensure that the humanitarian situation in the region is not allowed to deteriorate.
It’s a pity that in this country today human lives means nothing as innocent citizens continue to lose their lives daily with women and children worse hit.
” The chairman also appealed to the militants to embrace peace and avoid wasting of human blood which cannot be justified for any reason.
