Letter to Senator Gumau on 2023 election

Distinguished senator sir, I want to use this opportunity to bring to your notice the current political hubbub circulating in Bauchi South over your style of leadership described as “silent movement” due to your inability to raise motion during plenary.

Historically, Bauchi South has been producing vocal senators since inception of democracy who can raise and move motions in the interest of the people, especially issues great impact. This has been an issue of discuss as result of your aspiration to contest for Bauchi state governorship in 2023 election, which many people say you are not competent, considering how speechless you are during plenary.

But whether you are vocal or not, what is important is your achievement. Therefore, it’s advisably you bury the aspiration and concentrate in building the zone so as to maintain your senate seat.

Many people are very disappointed that you have not done anything tangible for the constituents. Neither Bauchi metropolis nor any other local government area has ever benefit a single project since you became a senator apart from distributing second hand buses to some religious groups contrary to your campaign promises.

On youth empowerment, education, primary healthcare, water supply and electricity, you have not done anything that one can enjoy in the entire Bauchi south.

Distinguished senator sir, we are all witnesses to the fact that Bauchi south is one of the constituencies in Bauchi state bedevilled by poor infrastructure, the infrastructure are normally shared with neighbouring local government area of Plateau state.

However, when it comes to issue of political appointment and job offers, a lot people accuse you of giving lopsidedness, and that, no youth has ever benefitted from you though we gave you massive votes.

In case you don’t know, your name is Mr ‘social media aide’; the best project you executed was employing youths as your social media aides, giving them Android phones to be propagating non-existent projects with your name, paying them N15,000 monthly.

Therefore, it’s high time you woke from your deep slumber and do the needful by providing the zone with the necessaries as failure do so will result to failure in the next election.
