Emir of Lafiya and chairman Nasarawa State Council of chiefs, Alhaji Isa Mustapha Agwai 1, yesterday approved the appointment of Alhaji Musa Abubakar as a new Pakaci of Lafia and district head of Ungwar Rairai in Lafia local government area of Nasarawa state.
The appointment was done in line with the administrative charges of the local government system with its drive to contribute meaningfully to the development of the council.
The Emir further charged the new Pakaci to use his wealth of experience to move the council forward by contributing positively to the development of the local government and the state at large.
Abubakar, who was born on 10th May 1950, attended University of Jos where he obtained the Bachelors of Education in English in 1986, is also a retired director of education.
Until his selection and subsequent appointment as the new Pakaci of Lafia Abubakar was the secretary to Lafia emirate council and served in various capacities which include Director Mass Mobilisation for Social Justice and Economy Recovery (MAMSER) 1987 to 1991, Member Nasarawa state scholarship Board and Sole Administrator Dunama College to reorganise the college back to shape.
While appreciating the gesture Abubakar thanked the emir for finding him fit and capable to serve the emirate council and promised not to fail the emir and the entire emirates.
“I will not fail the emir neither would i fail the entire emirate council , i will discharge my responsibilities in the best way I can to justify the confidence reposed on me and to see that that confidence have not being abuse in whatever way “, he added
