Secretary-General, Independent Labour Union in Kano, Alhaji Bala Dansani, has described Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s giant strides on supporting local entrepreneurs to develop as a major catalyst towards boosting the drive for self-reliance.
Speaking to newsmen in Kano yesterday, Dansani said supporting a self-reliance initiative by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje had proven to everyone by empowering local entrepreneurs to make considerable headway, adding that members of the Independent Labour Union were not unmindful of the huge resources being expended to support the drive.
He said Kano had the much-needed potentials to develop in every sphere of economic endeavour with local entrepreneurs supporting the crusade, stressing that the allocation of a plot to his members for them to establish a befitting office was a pointer to his resolve on boosting entrepreneurial development.
While calling on members of the Independent Labour Union to reciprocate the laudable gesture, Dansani also commended the Management of Kano Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA) for ensuring that the plot allocated to them by the governor became a reality.
