The introduction of the e-attendee by the House of Representatives is a welcome development at this stage of our democratic journey. It is indeed another new term in our legislative life that is trending. The e-attendance gives the electorate the right to call back any representative who fails to carry out his/her duties faithfully and conscientiously.
Democracy can only thrive in an environment where people have unimpeded access to qualitative and quantitative information to take the right decisions and make the right choices. My advice to the electorate is that they should use this platform as a weapon to assess their representatives.
