Kogi: SDP’s assembly candidate quits party, pulls out from race

The Social Democratic Party (SDP), Yagba West House of Assembly candidate in Kogi State, Ajagun Opeyemi, has dumped the party and has withdrawn from the race.

He quit the party alongside his supporters, ending his ambition to be elected member of the state assembly in the March election.

Ajagun, who announced his resignation in a letter directed to the party’s ward chairman in Ejiba, cited personal reason as the cause of his resignation.

He said his decision to withdraw from the race is as a result of the fact that he has taken a course on ‘New Nigeria Project and to lead the crusade of Okun for Governor 2024.’

He however, thanked the members of the party for their support and time spent together.
