Kogi guber: Abubakar Rajab mobilises for Ododo

Kogi born-philanthropist, Alhaji Abubakar Rajab, has rallied support for the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate in the forthcoming Kogi State governorship election, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and his running mate Joel Oyibo in Idah, traditional home of Igala people.

In a statement Tuesday in Abuja, he called on the Igala extraction to rally round the Ododo candidacy.

“I am particularly happy that our Igala people are more interested in credible leaders that can deliver the dividends of democracy to the district.

“We all want a leader that can give credible leadership in the state and to guarantee the future of our people and not a sectional and ethnic leader who believes in tribal Sentiments.”

“In Ododo we have all these qualities needed and I can assure you that with our support he will make Kogi great.

He expressed confidence in the ability of Ododo and his Deputy, Joel Oyibo Salifu, to bring the much-anticipated consolidation on the gains of his party’s administration in Kogi State in the past 7 years.

The statement further emphasized that ethnic jingoists who were not interested in a united, peaceful and prosperous Kogi State were the enemies of the people and must be treated as such, adding that the desperate “agendaists are selfishly clothed.”

He commended the Federal Government for it’s plan to bring 500, 000 jobs to Nigerians through its initiatives and further assured the Igala extraction to keep patients.

“ I urge our people to keep faith in this government as we already have a minister in the cabinet of president Tinubu which I know through whom we will benefits from all of the government’s policies.”
