Kebbi procures 40 new transformers to boost power supply 

 The Kebbi state government has said  irregular electricity supply to the residents is as a result of the fall in power generation from the national grid and not peculiar to the state. 

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Power and Political Affairs, Alhaji Kabiru Sani Giant, made this known while briefing newsmen in his office in Birnin Kebbi Wednesday.

Alhaji Kabiru stated that Governor Nasir Idris has taken all necessary measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply during and after the Ramadan, adding that the state is experiencing reduction in electricity supply due to energy drop nationwide. 

He recalled that the governor has held consultatiions with the top management of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, KEDC on ways of ensuring regular power supply to the state during which he provided financial support to the company towards this objective.
