Kano, fountain of peace, stability – Ganduje

The Kano state Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has described the state as the bastion of peace and stability not only in the North but in the entire country despite the spate of insecurity bedevilling the country.

The governor made the disclosure, Friday, at the opening of Domino Pizza in Kano, stating that many people have relocated to the state as a result of the peace and stability.

Ganduje, who was represented by his Special Adviser to the on Rural Development, Dr Ibrahim Gaya, further stated that the state was commerce-friendly and attracted investors from different parts of the world thereby giving employment opportunities to the populace.

“Governor Abdullahi Ganduje assures that Kano state is the most secure state in the entire country, not just the North.  Many people have relocated to Kano as a result of the support the state is enjoying from the traditional leaders as well as the security operatives in the state,” he said.

“No one will entertain any fear coming to do business in Kano because of the friendly nature of the people who don’t discriminate,” he added.

Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of the Domino Pizza, Patrick Micheal, said they have invested a total of N1 billion in Kano.

He disclosed that they were engaging in giving back to the community through Corporate Social responsibility (CSR) where they have sponsored 1,100 students.

“We have the Eat and Go Foundation under which we have sponsored 1,100 school student in 2020 and 1,200 in 2021 and hope to be increasing annually.

“I believe in giving back to the community and have chosen education which is a means of supporting development of the country.

“We have a total of 130 outlets across Nigeria and in Kano alone we have employed 134 workers and hope to expand in the near future,” added.
