Kaduna State Volleyball Association (KADSVA) has concluded plans for the 2023 Kaduna State Under-19 Inter Barracks Volleyball Championship, the second edition, to kick-off soon.
A statement signed by the Secretary, Kaduna State Volleyball Association (KADSVA), Florence Yori, stated that the competition will be held between January 18 and 21 at the Kotoko Barracks Volleyball Court, Kaduna.
“The second Kaduna State Inter Barracks Championship is tentatively slated to take place as follows: Date: 18-21 January, 2023 Venue: Kotoko Barracks Volleyball Court.”
According to the statement, a total of eight teams will participate in this year’s edition of the tournament.
The teams are, Kachia, Kalapanzi, 44 Barracks, Ribadu Cantonment, Dalet Barracks, NAF Base, Jaji Cantonment and Zaria.
She explained that rules of the competition, pertaining to eligibility stated that players should be drawn from only officers and soldiers’ children.
She categorically stated that it is only open to those who are under 19.
“The competition is purely for officers and soldiers’ children living in the above named barracks. No National Leagues players will be allowed. Other details to follow shortly.”
