Imo assembly urges Uzodimma to reconstitute IRROMA board

Governor Hope Uzodimma  of Imo state has been urged to reconstitute the board and management of Imo state Rural Roads Maintainance Agency(IRROMA) to complement the roads and infrastructural revolution already going on in the state.

This followed a motion moved by Hon. Obinna Egu of Ngor Okpala state constituency on the floor of the Imo state House of Assembly Wednesday.

He recalled that the Imo State Rural Roads Maintenance Agency (IRROMA) was launched on the 15th day of November, 2008, with the responsibility of opening up rural areas and linking all parts of the state to make Imo a one- city state, adding that the IRROMA initiative focused on transforming the state into a model with emphasis on industrialisation and enterprise, provision of social infrastructure, respect for Rule of Law and talking environmental issues and resuscitation of key institutions. But regretted that IRROMA suffered negligence and poor management by successive administrations whence it became defunct or moribund, negating its primary responsibility.
