Late arrival of voting materials at most of the polling units visited in Millennium City Chikun local government area and parts of Ungwar Rimi in Kaduna North local government area of Kaduna state has ensured delayed commencements of the polls.
But polling units where election has commenced in Kaduna North local government, the exercise is ongoing without challenges.
The Presiding Officer Polling Unit 009 Kinshasha by Song Road junction, Geoffrey Agaba, said the BIVAS machine is working well and voting is going on without any hitch.
The electorates are seen some sitted, some standing in queues waiting for their turn to vote.
Also in polling unit 010 Song Road/ Rimi Extension Gabasawa Ward election, which commenced by 9:40 is going on smoothly.
The Presiding Officer, Aliyu Usman, said the BIVAS machine is working well without problems.
