Jubril says conference‘ll ensure comfort for Nigerians

A former senator of the federal republic and delegate at the ongoing national conference, Senator Mohammed Jubril has said all the delegates strongly committed to participate and contribute to the conference and ensure that things that were done wrongly were set aright so that the country would be a better place for all.
Senator Jubril said his expectation of the conference at the end of it all would be that delegates would offer advice to the president of the country in areas where there should be change of policy and constitution amendment adding that the outcome will set the country on a new direction.

He further noted that Nigerians would be given a sense of citizenship and their rights will be properly protected.
He expressed worry that the outcome of previous conference were hardly implemented saying it depended on the intentions of the governments that put them together and prayed that this would be different.

Senator Jubril stated that his group has a lot of things to present specifically making reference to the creation of additional states as well as revenue allocation noting that the problems that concern the different levels of the country needed to be ironed out.

Senator Jubril stated that people needed to be comfortable in their own country while disagreeing that with utterances in some quarters that the conference is illegal, he pointed out that there was nothing wrong in government setting up a committee to advise it.

He hoped that there would be constitutional changes that will emanate from the conference.
He allayed fears of the illegality of the conference stating that saying that nobody gave the conference the powers to tamper with the law of the land.
