JTF takes medical rhapsody to host community

The Joint Task Force (JTF)  in Bayelsa has organized free medical outreach and counseling for people suffering from haptaitis, HIV among others.

The command’s whose Areas of Responsibility (AoR) apart from Bayelsa comprises Delta, western Abia and Rivers states took its medical mission to Igbogene community in Yenagoa Local Government Area where its headquarters is located.

According to Rear Admiral Akinrinade, the medical outreach is an opportunity to appreciate the good people of Igbogene community and for their hospitality, support and for creating a peaceful and conducive environment for JTF Operation.

He said ” the only thing successes that are the JTF of the has recorded would not have been possible without your support and cooperation”

” as you all are aware, the mandate of the JTF is the protection of Oil and gas infrastructure and prevent/deter militancy, and crude oil theft, sea robbery and other forms of criminality within the joint operation area”

One of the beneficiaries is a 50 year old man Fizibe Matthew battling with diabetes without medication since he lost his job few months ago.

According to him, the medical outreach was a lifesaver for him as money and drugs or the correct diet to control his condition have been out of her reach.

The command offered free drugs for the treatment of malaria, blood pressure check for the elderly and pregnant women, deworming for children, as well as multivitamins among others.

Part of the activities also included a visit to Daisy orphanage home where the commander made donation items and cash of one million.
