Jigawa awards N529m water supply contract for Kazaure

Jigawa state government has awarded contract for fresh reticulation of water pipes from Gada Dam Kazaure City at the cost of N529million.

The project which has 26.6 kilometer length from Gada village along Kako, Kazaure to Daura road has already commenced and it has reached appreciable level.

This was made known to our correspondent by the Managing Director of the state water board, Zayyanu Rabi’u, when he visited the project site Tuesday.

He stated that laying the pipes from Gada to Kazaure was very paramount, because, the pipes will distribute water to the wholeKazaure city and its environs.
Sources said the federal government through the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Rural development has constructed water treatment station at the cost of over N5billion while the Jigawa state government takes the responsibility of pipes reticulation.
The managing director said when completed the water treatment plant will supply ten million liters or water on a daily bases to Kazaure city and its environs.
He commended the Federal Ministry of Water Resources under Suleiman Adamu and Emir of Kazaure, Alhaji NAJeeb Hussaini Adamu for his fatherly role which made the project a reality.
