JIFORM seeks speedy medical attention for returnee

Frontline advocacy foundation against irregular migration and human trafficking, Journalists International For Migration (JIFORM), has pleaded with Osun state government and other well-meaning Nigerians concerning  a returnee, Mr Benjamin Sesan Ojo, who requires urgent medical attention.

The plea was contained in a statement issued at the weekend after a visit by JIFORM President, Ajibola Abayomi and Yaqoub Popoola, a member of the foundation to the Trinidad and Tobago returnee now living in a pitiable condition with deteriorating health condition at Ilesha, his home town.

Ajibola praised the wife of Osun state governor, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola, for facilitating the return of Ojo back to Nigeria having being stranded in Trinidad and Tobago for 12 years. However, he said the returnee, if not placed on medical facility, may collapse soon.

“We thanked the wife of Osun state governor, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola, for the wonderful humanitarian gesture and for proving that she is a true caring mother. However, the health condition of Ojo since February 2, 2020 when he arrive Ilesha is deteriorating with decaying leg, swollen hands and rashes all over his body. If not attended to on time, he may soon be in critical situation.”
