Jema’a LG boss reiterates commitments to education.

The chairman of the Jema’a local government area of Kaduna state, Comrade Yunana Markus Barde, has reiterated his commitment to educational development of the area.

The chairman stated this at the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) office, Kafanchan, while attending the 2024 meeting, comprising Education Secretary, head of departments, school support officers, school monitoring officers, unit heads, and clerks.

The chairman commended the governor of Kaduna state, Senator Uba Sani, for his agenda on taking the education to another level of development, acknowledging the achievement recorded in an educational system as laudable.

He described the meeting as timely and urged them to make judicious use of the new information acquired during the meeting, geared towards improving the knowledge of children in the local government.

Yunana said since swearing in as chairman, he had left no stone unturned to ensure that the education sector in the area receives the attention it requires, with a promise not to relent.

He outlined the implementation of more than 600 teachers’ promotions, provision of writing materials and chairs, and deployment of KADVS to various schools for a conducive and effective teaching and learning atmosphere.

Earlier in his address, the Education Secretary Jema’a local government, Mr Dogara Tyen Audu, commended the chairman for his swift response to the plight of teachers in the local government. Stating that the teachers’ welfare and revamping education activities that the chairman has improved, has gone a long way in fast-tracking learning activities in the local government area.

He said Yunana Barde has done what many chairmen were not able to do for a long time, considering the inadequate allocation stipulated to the local government by the state, compared to other local government areas.

He admonished the heads of departments, SSOs, SMOs, and teachers to make judicious use of every professional information received, while tasking them to reciprocate the kind gesture of the government.
