Inuwa tasks Gombe communities on peaceful co-existence

Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state has called for peaceful coexistence among communities in Gombe south in order to ensure the development of the zone and the state.

Yahaya made the call while delivering his speech at the 2019 Tangale Cultural Festival at Billiri town, Billiri local government area of the state on Saturday.

He said his administration was voted into power on the mantra of change, saying such change could only be made possible when the people live in peace in their various communities.

According to him, the support that the state government need from the people is peace.

The governor added that his administration had begun various developmental strides in the state which according to him, has been made possible by the prevailing peace in the state.

He stated that with peace and tolerance, the people would promote wealth creation in their communities, saying that peace is key to the economic life of communities in view of the agrarian nature of the state.
