Insecurity: Nasarawa Assembly calls for peace submit

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Monday passed a resolution urging the state government to organise peace and security submit over the rising spate of insecurity across the state.

While moving a motion on the need for urgent steps to be taken to address insecurity across the state, Oga  Ogazi (APC-Kokona East) expressed concern over the rising case of insecurity in the state, urging the government to do the needful in that direction.

Speaker of the house Balarabe Abdullahi, read the resolution during the house proceedings in Lafia saying the issue of peace and security is very important to the development of the society, hence the need for the house resolution.

“It is on this note that, we are urging Governor Abdullahi Sule as a matter of urgency to organise security submit”.

Balarabe therefore, called on the state government “to assist security agencies with the necessary logistics, identify local vigilante, and  encourage them for effective service  delivery so as to check mate the rising security challenges in the state, “he said.

The House unanimously passed the resolution on the need to address insecurity across the state across the state.
