Indonesian President meets security chiefs

Just two days after his inauguration, President Joko Widodo of Indonesia held a meeting with the military, police, and intelligence agency leaders here on Wednesday.
He met Defense Forces Commander General Moeldoko who was accompanied by the chiefs of staff of the army, navy, and air force, National Police Chief General Sutarman, and Head of National Intelligence Agency (BIN) Marciano Norman.
At his first press conference held after the meeting, Jokowi remarked that he had discussed several issues with them during the meeting.
Jokowi revealed that he had discussed issues related to state security, economic, political, and social conditions with the BIN head.
In the meetings with the TNI commander and his chiefs of staff and the national police chief, Jokowi said he had discussed strategic plans related to the TNI and police as well as issues related to Indonesias defense system equipment and the welfare of the TNI and police personnel, including housing, salary, among several others.
During the conference, President Jokowi was accompanied by General Moeldoko, Army Chief of Staff General Gatot Nurmantyo, Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal Ida Bagus Putu Dunia, Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Marsetio, General Sutarman, and Marciano Norman.
