In Nasarawa, Gov. Sule solicits traditional rulers’ guidance in governance


Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state, Thursday, sought for advice from traditional rulers, on how his administration could perform better.
He made the appeal at the palace of Esu Karu as part of the continuation of activities commemorating his administration’s second year in office.

The governor explained that his administration must have made mistakes while discharging its duties, but urged the traditional rulers to point the way forward in order for the administration to correct possible anomalies during the past two years.
“We are bound to make mistakes, we cannot be perfect and have decided as a government to visit the palaces of traditional rulers and hold town hall meetings to hear from the people with a view to addressing concerns and observations raised by them,” he said.


He also noted that the government had wanted to meet the people for feedback in 2020, shortly after assuming office but could not due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sule added that given the population of the people in Karu and it’s proximity to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the government would create a lot of infrastructures to meet with demands of the residents in the area.

Speaking, the Etsu Karu, HRH Pharmacist Luka Panya Baba, said governor Sule has so far delivered many development projects, out of the promise he made while seeking to become governor.
He commended the governor for his developmental strides in the area, and appealed for the establishment additional general hospital as the existing health facilities in the area are over stretch.
