Kelechi Nwakali has announced he will return from a knee injury in three weeks.
The 24-year-old midfielder was injured at the weekend during a 1-0 loss suffered by his Segunda Division club SD Ponferradina at Malaga CF.
“Road to be back, see you in 3 weeks,” Nwakali announced on Twitter accompanied by a photo showing that he has already begun his rehabilitation.
The Super Eagles ace will most likely not play again this year.
He will miss the home games against Burgos and Lugo as well as the trip to Levante.
He should be back in action for the home game against Villarreal II on January 8, 2023.
