IED explosions kill 8, injures dozens in Kinewba Ngala 



At least eight people have been killed by another improvised explosive devices (IED) landmine explosion in Kinewba village along Ngala-Dikwa road in Ngala local government area of Borno state.

It was also reported that dozens of other people sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of the explosion which occurred on Tuesday.

Our correspondent reports that the improvised explosive devices attack happened about 15 kilometers away from Maiduguri, the state capital.

A security source said the two vehicles involved in the incident were damaged beyond repairs.

“The vehicles left Ngala around 900am while the incident occurred about 15 kilometers away. Eight civilians were feared dead, including two children, and several others were critically wounded in the landmines blast,” he said.

A senior Civilian JTF source said the two vehicles, an Izuzu van and a lorry, stepped on the bomb and nearly all the passengers were feared killed.
