I ‘ve invested a lot to make life better for Tarabans – Ishaku

Taraba state Governor, Arc Darius Ishaku  on Sunday said his administration has invested a lot of resources to make life better for the people of the state.

Ishaku, who stated this in Jalingo during his induction into the Rotary club  International promised Tarabans that he would do more within the remaining lifespan of his administration.

He said he has successfully put Taraba state ahead of other states in Northern Nigeria in the area of education, stressing that from 16 percent in WAEC performance which his administration inherited in 2015 to 85 percent in 2019.

He added that this achievement took a lot of hard work and investment of resources.

He commended Rotary International for its love and service to humanity.

He informed that he had followed and monitored the impressive efforts of Rotary which has eventually led to the wiping away of polio from Nigeria.

He said thousands of women and youths have become gainfully engaged through the skills acquisition training programmes sponsored by his administration and complemented by the Hope Afresh Foundation, a welfare organisation founded by Barr Anna Darius Ishaku, his wife.

He thanked the Rotary Club of Jalingo for an award given to him and congratulated their members for their services to the state.

He urged members to redicate themselves to the service of the people.

Speaking earlier, a member of the Club, Joshua Hassan, praised Ishaku for providing a focused leadership which has led to the rapid transformation of the state.
