Hundreds dump PDP for APC in Rubochi

The first Executive chairman of Kuje Area Council, Hon. John Adayilo on Saturday led hundreds of former members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the ruling All Progressive Party (APC) in Rubochi, kuje Area Council Abuja-FCT.
Receiving the decampees at Rubochi, the chairman of APC in the FCT, Abdulmalik Usman, said a new era has emerged for the party following the movement of large members of people from opposition political parties to the ruling APC.
“We are happy that people are now recongnizig the good work that the APC is doing for the nation, starting from the President to the area councils. I will advice APC members to eschew bitterness, unnecessary internal rivalry and work with elected officials for the success of the party in every area where the administration has focused its attention,” he said.
Speaking to Blueprint at the event, Hon. John Adayilo, said it was high time the APC learnt from its mistakes and the mistakes of other political parties and added that It was now a challenge for the ruling party to perform and win public confidence.
The former chairman promised to mobilize his supporters to work and ensure the APC wins future elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), adding that all hands must be on desk to ensure APC victory at the polls come 2019.
One of the decampees and former L.E.A Secretary, kuje Area Council, Mr. Sunday Danlami Kaka, urged politicians to join hands with the APC to lift Rubochi and develop the area.
Also speaking, the APC chairman in kuje Area Council, Hon. Godwin Poyi, said APC will not require to campaign for votes in Rubochi because the people of the area have received the party well and the next election will be won by the party-APC.
On his part, the Executive chairman, kuje Area Council, Alhaji Abdullahi Danladi Galadima, expressed delight with the communities which he said were initially reluctant to join APC stressing that they eventually identified with the party after considering the good programmes of the party.
He welcomed the decampees to the APC ship and urged them to feel free to contribute positively to the growth of the party and the advancement of kuje Area Council.
Some of the party bigbigs who witnessed the event included, Alhaji Yahaya Musa Mohammed former chairman, Abaji Area Council, Alhani Abu Giri, former chairman, Gwagwalada area Council, Hon. Danladi Etain Zhin, former chairman kuje Area Council, and the FCT Minister, Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello, who was represented by his adviser on community Relations, Abuzarri Ribadu.
